OSA embraces all parks users, individuals and groups, within our Community Committee. In the past year and a half, we have held three large Community Committee meetings (Greenpoint, Northside and Southside) inviting everyone to provide their suggestions for parks improvements.

We also hold smaller monthly meetings with leaders of local parks advocacy groups. These member organizations represent individual parks, and specific user activities within our parks. They come together to discuss and prioritize issues throughout our district, monitor progress, share information, provide support, and guide our Board and Executive Director in fundraising. By uniting parks groups throughout our district, the representation for our district’s needs is that much stronger.
