Board Members

The OSA board is comprised of residents and business owners from the community. Each Board Member is required to make an annual financial contribution- in addition to serving on committees, serving as officers and assisting the organization to grow and fulfill its missison.

Steve Hindy

Steve Hindy, founding member of the Open Space Alliance and President of the Brooklyn Brewery has served on the board of the Prospect Park Alliance for over 15 years. He is a dedicated champion of parks and open space.

Aggie Mullaney

A 15 year resident of Williamsburg, Aggie works as a creative director in the fashion industry. A founding member of the Open Space Alliance, Aggie works with the Greenpoint/ Williamsburg Waterfront Task Force in the battle against the TGE powerplant.

John Olmstead

A resident of Greenpoint, John practices law. He was a founding member and past Chairman of the Board of the Investors' Circle, a network for investors in socially responsible ventures. John also served as a trustee of Ecologically Sustainable Development, Inc., an NGO that was engaged in land use and sustainable development planning for macro-ecosystems, including the Lake Baikal basin in Siberia and Mongolia, and the Ussuri River basin between China and Siberia.

Adam Perlmutter

Adam Perlmutter is the principal attorney of the Law Offices of Adam D. Perlmutter, P.C. His practice focuses on criminal defense and civil litigation. Adam has served on the board of the Greenpoint Waterfront Association for Parks and Planning (GWAPP) and is a member of Community Board 1. He and his wife, Barbara McGlamery, have lived in Greenpoint since 1997. They have a 3 year-old son.

Jane Pool

A Brooklyn soccer mom, has resided in Greenpoint for 6 years and is co-owner of Excello Recording Studio in Williamsburg. She has organized several events (including a Patti Smith concert) for the Greenpoint Williamsburg Waterfront Task Force. Jane is on the board of Neighbors Allied for Good Growth and on the PTA at PS-132 in Williamsburg.

Tom Pritchard

Tom Pritchard is owner and principal designer of Madderlake Designs, a landscape and architecture design firm based in Williamsburg. Founded in 1975, Madderlake Designs relocated in 1999 to a former firehouse on Kent Avenue - a live/work building that Tom shares with his partner, Jody Rhone. Architectural projects range from residential work to small but creative commercial projects. Landscape projects are located throughout the country, from all over the tri-state area to Palm Beach, Toronto, Aspen and Gunnison, Colorado. Tom worked with the Friends of BEDT Park on alternative designs to the NYU/State Park proposal and is committed to more and better parks and waterfront access throughout Williamsburg and Greenpoint.

Stephanie Thayer

Stephanie is a former Vice President in the Corporate & Investment Bank of a major international financial institution, a partner in a small business, and has a great deal of experience as a staff member of local and federal political campaigns. She is also a Board Member of Neighbors Allied for Good Growth (NAG), a social and environmental justice nonprofit, and a founding member of the Williamsburg Greenpoint Preservation Alliance, working on local landmarks issues. Stephanie lives in Williamsburg.

Dewey Thompson

Dewey Thompson is the Commissioner of the Greenpoint Williamsburg Youth Soccer League, a member of the Board of Directors of GWAPP, a member of Community Board One and the president of Pickerel Pie Entertainment, a television branding and production company. He is the father of three native Greenpointers, husband to a renaissance woman and whether by bicycle, canoe or kayak, committed to getting across the East River on his own power.

Joe Vance

Joe Vance is the owner of an Williamsburg-based architectural practice, Joseph Vance Architects, specializing in high-end residential interior renovations and new residential developments. He is a founding member of the Open Space Alliance, served as the co-chair of the Greenpoint Waterfront Association for Parks & Planning for 5 years and also serves on the board of the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative. Joe is a 22-year resident of Greenpoint and father of a 16 year old son.
